What AI technology powers RadiSpeak?
RadiSpeak uses a combination of AI engines: Soniox for real-time medical speech-to-text (optimised for Indian English and radiology terminology), Claude (Anthropic) and Mistral AI for structured report generation. The Quality Checker also uses Claude Haiku for real-time clinical consistency analysis. You can select different engines per modality in the Admin settings.
Does RadiSpeak work with our existing PACS?
RadiSpeak integrates natively with PACSCloud (by Micromed MHIS). For other PACS systems, reports can be exported as PDF/DOCX and imported manually, or via HL7/FHIR integration available in the Enterprise plan. PACSCloud itself integrates with most third-party DICOM systems.
Is patient data secure? Is it HIPAA compliant?
RadiSpeak is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Patient data is processed in compliance with Indian DPDPA regulations. The Enterprise plan includes data residency options within India. We do not store audio recordings after transcription. All AI processing is done via Anthropic and Soniox who maintain HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
How accurate is the voice transcription in Indian accents?
Soniox AI is specifically tuned with medical terminology and performs excellently with Indian English accents. We maintain a medical keyword list of 50+ radiology terms to boost accuracy. In testing across Hindi-English mixed environments, accuracy on medical terms exceeds 97%. The system also filters Devanagari characters and non-medical STT artefacts automatically.
Can I use RadiSpeak on mobile?
Yes — RadiSpeak is fully responsive and works on iOS and Android browsers without any app installation. The Quick Report mode is specifically optimised for mobile dictation, allowing radiologists to report from anywhere. Microphone access is handled natively by the browser.

Can a Medical Transcriptionist use RadiSpeak instead of the radiologist?
Yes — this is one of the most common ways centres use RadiSpeak. A radiologist records their findings as a voice note and shares it however they normally would (WhatsApp, email, etc.). The MT then uploads that audio file directly into RadiSpeak using Upload Audio, and the AI transcribes and structures it into a complete report — Technique, Findings, Impression, Advice — ready for the MT to review and the radiologist to sign off. No change to how doctors already record their dictation.
